About me
Heather Cuthbert BSc mBANT CNHC
I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
I am nuts about nutrition! I dream, sleep, think nutrition!
I believe that nutrition is the ultimate pathway to a healthy, happy and long life.
I was born and brought up in Kenya where food was always so fresh and wild, straight from rich african soils. This childhood experience influenced my interest and passion in food. As a Nutritional Therapist I strongly believe that optimal nutrition is vital to a healthy functioning body and mind. My love for nutrition and the science of food stemmed from an early interest in its ability to significantly impact health and wellbeing. A university degree in Anatomy and postgraduate studies in Personal Training and Nutritional Therapy supports my knowledge and understanding of the ingenious works of the body. Experience in various food related roles has highlighted my appetite for creating healthy, nutrient rich and exciting foods.
I spend every opportunity I can in the kitchen developing ideas and experimenting with recipes; from meals that specifically target particular health conditions, body systems and deficiencies, to free-from and raw food snacks and meals. My ideas and recipes have inspired and motivated my clients to achieve their individual goals, instilling them with a positive outlook on diet and optimum health for life.
I also work as a therapeutic chef, leading cookery classes at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) in London ‘Cooking for Health’.
I believe that every body and soul is unique and one glove definitely doesn’t fit all! My holistic approach to health and wellbeing consists of both nutritional and lifestyle advice, designed to support individuals on their route to their optimum health.
