" I have been working with Heather since January of this year (2016). In this time, I have lost 20 kgs and am still counting! My decision to see a nutritional therapist was a new concept to me since I had never heard of the profession. I discovered Heather after my appointment with my physical therapist who was treating me for knee pain. He recommended that I pay Heather a visit. After meeting Heather at our initial consultation, I walked away informed of how my body functions when nourished with the right kinds of food in the proper amounts. I was encouraged to start on a consistent exercise regime, slowly increasing my exercise in intensity and duration over time. Heather taught me the importance of balancing blood sugar levels making sure not to dip too low and to keep them at a steady consistency so I don’t get too hungry or overly full. Fueled with this new found knowledge, my goal was to just get healthy and my desire was to be able to operate without feeling sluggish and moody all the time. Once I started nourishing my body with foods like whole grains, lean meats and more fresh veggies and drinking plenty of water I found that not only the weight began to come off but I felt so much better and much more confident. My knee pain that had been troubling me for two years went away completely! My skin, which had been breaking out, started clearing up. Heather is very well informed and has been an excellent guide to getting me to my health goals.
