My guests started off the day with a refreshing carrot, ginger, apple and cucumber juice - this combo contains an army of antioxidants to help protect the body's cells from free radical damage, helping to boost the immune system. Once I had filled everyone's minds with helpful tips to combat the damaging effects that long term dysglycaemia (imbalance of blood glucose levels) may cause, it was time to sit down and try the nutritious food that I had prepared.
